It took me my entire life to finally understand: words mean nothing without action.
People can fake words. They can look you in the eyes and say, “I love you.” They can promise, “I want to be with you.” And then, just like that, they can walk away.
But actions—actions don’t lie.
You can’t fake who you prioritize. You can’t fake effort. If someone wants to see you, they will move mountains. If someone truly cares, they will show up, no matter how busy, no matter how chaotic life gets.
But if someone only wants you to fill their empty spaces, you’ll always feel like an afterthought. A backup plan. The last call at the end of a lonely night. And no matter how much you give, no matter how much you try to prove your worth, you will never be enough for someone who only needs you when it’s convenient.
The truth is, you will never be pushed to the bottom of the list by someone who truly wants you.
